Bringing Jazz to Kids and the World

While living in Escondido in 1979, Ira Liss started a supplementary music program for high school kids who were interested in learning and playing jazz. Over the years, the program eventually morphed into a community band with more adult involvement, becoming the Big Band Jazz Machine.
